Why is 11-month lease more common than 12-month? ▾
An 11-month agreement does not require mandatory registration under the Registration Act, saving stamp duty and registration fees. It still protects both parties and can be renewed. Agreements of 12 months or more must be registered.
Do I need to register my rental agreement? ▾
